BT Group (formerly British Telecom) is a Brittish telecommunications company, which provides broadband and mobile services in the UK. It also provides television and IT services, one of them being a BT Mail service, with the btinternet domain.
BT Yahoo or BTMail?
In the past, the provided mail service for BT customers was ran on btyahoo com servers, so the actual mail service was run and provided by Yahoo Mail company. This has been changed in 2014 when BT introduced their own mail solution and migrated all former BT Yahoo users.
BTinternet login
You can access your BT mail webmail on BT's website at home.bt.com.
But webmail BTinternet is not the only way to check your email - you can also use an email app to connect to your BT mail server and allow you to manage your email.

Can BTMail account be used in an email client?
It seems BT is making some changes and only webmail access and access for Outlook mobile apps will be made available.
